Preparing for Installation
Preparing for Installation
Our normal installation process is to install the fence from 6" to 12" off the property line. Inside the property line, we can do whatever you request.
It usually takes one day or less, depending on the size of the area to be fenced and the complexity of the job.
Amerifence provides the following solutions:
- We haul away the dirt from the premises.
- We transfer the soil to a different area on the property.
- We place the soil near the posts.
During your Ohio property estimation, your fencing advisor will review these alternatives and incorporate them into the contract terms.
Amerifence assumes the responsibility of calling for all "public" utilities like cable, phone, gas, electric, water, sewer, and so on. However, homeowners are responsible for locating all "private" utilities such as sump lines, sprinkler lines, invisible fence lines, private electric, private gas, and so on.
It is crucial for homeowners to thoroughly read through the contract, ensuring that all "Customer Responsibilities" are met.
- Identify and mark all "private" utilities — the first priority.
- Remove any obstructions along the fence line, such as firewood, decorative objects affixed to the fence, and so on.
- Unhook and safeguard climbing plants/lattices etc.
- Make sure to confine any pets on the property to ensure both the safety of our employees and the animals.
We do. It is a day-to-day decision, determined by weather conditions.
Yes. It is mandatory for the homeowner to be available during the first 30-45 minutes of the installation process. This provides an opportunity for the homeowner to accompany the team leader on a property check and to discuss any concerns or queries resulting from the location of the underground utilities, boundary survey, and fencing location. Our priority is to appropriately position the holes and correctly install the fence on the first attempt.
