We have a vast 250,000-square-foot facility where we meticulously craft over 3,000 fence styles to meet your privacy, security, and aesthetic needs. We also provide installation services throughout the year, something many other fencing companies don’t do.

We are not. We are a fourth generation, privately owned family business.

We are. We have all licensing required by the state of Ohio and are fully covered by liability and workers’ compensation.

We specialize in maintenance-free vinyl, maintenance-free aluminum, chain link, and cedar fencing. We offer a wide variety of designs including shadow box, privacy, spaced picket, rail fences, and custom designs.

PREPARING FOR AN ESTIMATE

Yes. We do not charge for our estimates.

We prefer for one of our fence consultants to meet on-site with you. The consultant comes equipped with samples, pictures, and advice. In addition, the fence consultant needs to examine the work area for easement, utility, and landscape concerns that will affect the project layout. However, Amerifence will provide “off-site” or “online” estimates when you provide the following requirements: a legal boundary survey, a previous bid, or a drawing of the area in question with measurements.

We encourage you to obtain a copy of your HOA guidelines and research your city’s fencing restrictions. You should be able to find most of this information online.

Our appointment times run from Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We offer early morning and later evening times dependant upon request and availability.

We can give a more accurate estimate if you have a legal boundary survey and your HOA fencing guidelines. However, if you don’t yet have them, we can still meet. We just may need to adjust the quote once that information becomes available.

HOA / SURVEYS / PERMITS / (WHAT TO KNOW)

Amerifence is prepared to install a fence according to your desired arrangement, even without a formal boundary survey. However, it's important to note that in the absence of an accurate boundary survey, the homeowner will assume responsibility for the fence's location and installation as per the contract. It is suggested that homeowners understand their property's legal description prior to the fence installation. This step can mitigate potential disputes over property lines and avoid costly legal issues or the need to reinstall the fence.

No. These two documents are not an accurate description of the boundaries of the property. They are usually needed to insure title insurance on a property. Survey reports include a disclaimer that states, “The information provided should not be used for the construction on new improvements of fences.”

Please schedule a proper boundary survey. Otherwise, the homeowner or business assumes liability for the placement and installation of the fence (per contract) and/or any disputes that may arise from the fence installation.

Choose one of the following free options:

  1. Locate your closing packet/papers from when you purchased your home. A survey should be included in this packet.
  2. Visit your county courthouse or local city/town hall to get a recorded copy of any survey that has been conducted on your property.

Land survey companies are easily found with an online search. Or, upon request, Amerifence can recommend a reputable company.

A permanent “pinned” boundary survey is the preferred, most accurate survey for your property.

While most towns don’t require one, it’s always best practice to check with your local city to see if a permit is required and to ask if there are any changes to their fencing guidelines and restrictions.

Generally, fence permits run from $35 to $100. Check with your local city/town hall as pricing is subject to change.

You will need the following:

  1. A copy of your property boundary survey (plot plan or survey location report will work).
  2. A “highlighted” layout or “site map” drawn on the survey of where you want to install the fence.
  3. A copy of the fence contract (optional).
  4. A picture of the fence.

  • It can take 14-30 days for approval from the HOA.
  • Permits are usually approved immediately, but it may take up to 7 days.
